Hi to everyone-

I just want to take a minute and introduce my self. I have a two

year old soon, who was just started on the diet last Tuesday. We

have had a pretty rocky start, but I am already seeing a vast

improvement in his seizures. I am very commited to making this work

for him. He has several different types of generalized seizures

that, until last week, wiped him out. He was sleeping all the time.

We have been through 5 different meds, and he has tollerated them

very poorly, so the doc's and I agreed that something else must be

done. He was admitted fort he initionation period, which was suppose

to be 3 days. I had started motifing his diet a bit, cutting out the

big carbs (bread, pasta, fruit juice) but other than he was eatting

normal on the sunday befor he was admitted. We we got in the an he

was already in ketosis (4+). He was very sick, throwing up and

lethargic the first two days of his admit. Then his doc decided he

was in to deep of ketosis so he had an IV with a little gloucose and

fluids in it. He got some better, but still has not perked up, and I

am really struggling to get him to eat...he just has no appitite.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to incourage him to eat?

Well that is our story (short version). I would apperciate all the

advise I ccan get. Thanks for letting me join your group.
