Gluten-free oats/Grits

Try quinoa as a substitute for oats in cookies.

Re: Gluten-free oats/Grits

Can grits

be used in place of rolled oats in cookies? I have never purchased them before

so I am not sure if they are similar to oats in texture and flavor.

knowledge yet. I've

read conflicting information about oats. I think the blanket rule would be to

rule them out

due to the chance of cross-contamination. However, if you have a provider

with GF rolled

oats, then that should be fine. I switched from oats to grits. The only time I

had grits before

was when I was in the Navy; and frankly, I prefer grits to oats, but that's

just me.
