Hi everyone,

Well, now that my INS. approved me I am trying to finish the rest of

my package. I only need 6 more contacts to be completed with that

part of the requirements. If anyone is will to answer the 7 questions

I see by your Stats that you had Sleep Apnea. Can you tellme what your

symptons were? I think I have been having some symptons (waking up abruptly

after just falling asleep) and I am concerned about going through the surgery

5-15 and having this sympton happening while I am " under " . Any insight on

how you discovered you had it would be greatly appreciated.

If anyone has or have had sleep apnea I would love to hear what your symptons

Dear Debbie,

I'm pre-op and in the process of doing all the paperwork. I have sleep

apnea, I had a sleep study done 10 years ago and discovered that I stopped

breathing numerous times during sleep and at times for up to 47 seconds. My main

complaint was chronic fatigue. I mentioned to my husband that I thought I had

something wrong with my heart because I felt exhausted all the time. He told me

he thought I had a sleep disorder because he could hear me stop breathing for

long periods of time and then I would gasp for air. I went to my PCP and he

referred me for a sleep study. Sure enough I was diagnosed and then put on

Trazadone. I also had a deviated septum and enlarged turbinate bone corrected by

an ENT doctor. That did not fix the problem. I still have sleep apnea so anytime

I'm being " put under " I make sure everyone knows. I have never experienced any

complications.

I hope this puts your mind at rest.

One thing I forgot to mention is the SNORING!!!!!!!!!! Snoring is not

natural and is usually an indication of something wrong.......such as sleep

apnea.
