Eeewwww! JT - I recognize that awful hyperemesis word - I was still

throwing up the day I waddled in to have the twins induced. The day I

waddled in, I was still 10 pounds under my start weight, and within a week

of the boys' birth I weighed in for a 40 pound loss. I only kept it off as

long as I was nursing (8 months) then it all came back on with a vengeance -

which makes sense - I hadn't learned out to eat better, I just threw up then

nursed a lot.

My worst place was the shower - I didn't brush my teeth or shower once in 9

months time that I didn't throw up. Yuck! I was hospitalized twice for

dehydration, but I never had to do any long-term bedrest. The first time I

went in they had to give me 5 IV bags of sugar water before I could pee.

Didn't you just hate it when people thought it was " cute " that you had a

really bad case of " morning sickness " I thought I might pop a couple of

people when things were at their worst :)

Not sure why I had the need to share that - probably made the rest of you

nauseous - but I thought I'd let JT know that there was at least one other

person out here that understands that awful hyperemesis stuff.

Re: Size 6 in your later years

Funnily enough (or not so much), I had a similar situation during my

last pregnancy. I was diagnosed with hyperemesis and was throwing up

every time I ate, brushed my teeth, or even drank water sometimes. I

was put on bedrest for five weeks while the doctors tried to get

medication into me to stabilize my system. I was told by my OB-GYN

that it was lucky I had been overweight, because if I had started my

pregnancy at or below the " normal " weight range, they would have had

to hospitalize me. My fat saved my son!!!!
