Guest guest
I have read recently that any drug inclined to increase photosensitivity should be taken at night. My GP advocates taking tetracycline in one dose about an hour or so before going to bed. I've no idea whether this makes any difference, but it may be worth trying. I'm sure I also read some time ago that certain types of tetracycline are more inclined to induce photosensitivity than others, although I'm afraid I can't remember which - I've found the best way of getting good information on things like this is to consult some specialist dermatology reference books in a library. This is where I learned of the disastrous effects steroid creams can have on rosacea (after my GP had given it me to try when he was " unsure " about whether I had rosacea or not!). Seems one of the biggest problems we have to contend with is finding docs that are interested/knowledgeable about this condition in the first place. I can honestly say almost everything I now know has come from my own research and through membership of various support groups.
