Guest guest
Hello all, I have only been a member of this board for a very short period of time so haven't gotten an opportunity to know any of you very well. ( I do read faithfully) I wanted to share with you my amazing discovery though I am sure most of you won't be amazed at ll. *GRIN* I have been diagnosed as a type 2 for approximately 2 years now. Have recieved very little support from my PCP and insurance, so I have been taking meds as ordered, 3 times a day, once a day etc... without thought as to when or that it could possibly make a difference. In spite of the research I have done, it simply never occured to me. Well, this week I started taking my Glucophage prior to meals and my numbers have been lower this week and within goal or under for the first time since diagnoses. I feel like I just won the lottery. Since a week ago, I have been taking 10 units of Lantus injections at night before bed along with time released Actos and that seems to be a good thing because I have had a couple of nights where I have tested three to four hundred which really scared me. I am learning to control what I eat and the portions and to seem the numbers change is the most gratifying feeling. We all love instant gratification I think. So now while I hate being diabetic I see light at the end of the tunnel for me after so long just wandering around in the dark and I find this to be incredibly exciting. To be able to have some control over my health for me is nothing short of amazing!! This year has been an awful year concerning my health with depression, kidney disease diagnoses, major TIA and other things. But taking my life back has begun with my wieght loss implant and now seeing that I am not at the mercy of this disease give me great hope for the new year. I am sorry for the length of this post. I am sure that many of you are bored to dath by now but I just had to share. I feel sooooooo good!! Rude/Dr.Kuri July 28,2005 225/189/135 " You will NEVER fail if you NEVER stop trying.
