Guest guest
The differences between surgeons advise on eating is unbelievable. You would think that they would be on the same page. When I went to my nutritional class at the hospital, ( which was 4 hours long and I was sent home with a 2 inch full binder of information) it was specific and down to the last detail on what foods to eat, not to eat, and how to eat it and about drinking your protein shakes to get in your grams for the day. Protein shakes are to be used daily to get your total grams in after you have eaten your protein from food first, then use shakes to make up the diffrence to meet your required quota. I was told to drink as much as you could and wanted before eating. Liquids just pass through the pouch and do not fill you up. When you eat chunky soups or milk with cereal you drink the liquid first then consume the chunky parts. The liquid will go thru the pouch and the solids will make you full. Then do not drink for 1 hour. Keep up the good work everybody!!!! Be proud of yourself! Debi H
