Advantages of helmet vs. band

I have read many of your posts and I was wondering why some of you

chose the band and others the helmet. Did your doctor recommend one

over the other? Is the band better for certain different head shapes

or levels of flatness? I believe my daughter has a mild case, is one

better than the other based on that? I am new to all of this, so

please bear with me.
