Water has no calories and also no nutrients save a few minerals (not if

you're drinking distilled water). Yes, water is a necessary ingredient for

us to consume, but after surgery you really need to try to get nutrients

with your fluids, i.e. juices, broth, etc, no empty calorie beverages. At

least until you get your diet regulated.
