Jo,

Thanks for the info...it will most probably be a weekend. Maybe we could chat on the phone and get some good ideas going. Good luck on your exam...Hugs..Ginnyjomal1@... wrote:

I'd love to give you all the info you need..

Just some brief notes: The Jersey shore runs for approximately 120 miles down the coast, there are numerous areas where they have boardwalks, but most are not open in April. except perhaps on Weekends. The closest area of the NJ shore is about 35 miles or so from Newark airport on the Garden State Parkway. The more "popular" areas (Seaside Heights, Long Beach Island, etc.) are further down.

There are numerous hotels, etc. everywhere, but most of the "chains" are not on the beach at most of the boardwalk areas.

There is, of course, Atlantic City, but that is a HAUL from Newark airport.

I'll email you a bunch more info when I've got some time. I'm crazy at the office with problems and studying for my licensing exam on the 29th!

HUgs,

Jo

Pam,

I see my primary dr for my RSD. He is knowledgable and if he doesn't know he researches it. He prescribed me celebrex, neurontin, morphine, percs, lidocaine patches, aciphex and actually a few herbal remedies. He also filled me on things i didn't know or could find about RSD online..gave a whole new perspective when i saw him today. Is there anyway your primary can treat you...or find a new primary who may be able to? You don't always need a pain clinic to manage your pain. Sometime neurologists will see you privately and treat you too...Hope this helps you some...Hugs..Ginny

Pam,

Sometimes a good cry is what we need. I have had many of them in the past and they do help because you get everything out. Please know that we are all here to listen and it is okay to vent to each of us. Lord knows that I have done it plenty of times and so have many others. Feel free to let us have it when you are feeling down!!! That is what we are all here for! LOL and Best Wishes and Prayers Always!

Pam,

My primary doctor for this disease is a Rheumatologist . He is actually the one who diagnosed me. So like Ginny said it doesn't necessarily have to be a pain clinic. I am sorry that your primary doctor is unwilling to treat you.I know I had a neurologist receptionist tell me that they believe in RSD and they don't treat it, I was shocked to say the least. I feel like taking one of the brochures that I got from the National Institute of neurological disorders and stroke and saying how come they believe in it and you don't.
