Guest guest
Ginny, I've never been to burg but I've been to a few different areas in Pennsylvania which were nice, so it should be fine. One question though, how close is it to a major airport? I know if I fly up there I am not going to be able to drive a long distance after the flight, ya know? Just something to keep in mind when trying to find a location convenient for everyone. I'd offer to help but with work I don't really have much extra energy, sorry. Anyway, keep us posted! <hugs> Lori

Guest guest
Jo, I need all the help I can get...lol. We are hoping to have people fly into Newark and then find a place on the shore within driving range that won't be too far since people who are driving will have to go pick up the people flying in. We want a place where people can walk on the beach or do a little window shopping...walk on the boardwalk? Let me know what you think...thanks..Hugs..Ginnyjomal1@... wrote: Ginny, Let me know what you need to know about the beautiful state of NJ! Guest guest
Faith, We have decided that more people could get to New Jersey then PA. I know the drive to PA for Donna and myslef would be about 12 hrs and the ride to NJ is 5 and a half. Dawn and Pam live in NY so it's closer to them. Jo lives in NJ and thought someone else did too but can't remember who. For the people flying in Newark is much cheaper then flying into PA for some reason. I am hoping if Barb and Tricia feel up to it ..that donna and I can pick them up on the way to NJ. So we felt alot more people would be able to get to meet if we changed it the jersey shore. I am hoping anyone who can drive there or take a plane will come. Hopefully by Thankgiving we will have a definite town and hoteland dates. Then by Jan a final count of who is interested in coming..then in Late feb a definite from everyone who is interested. Guest guest
Ginny I'd love to give you all the info you need.. Just some brief notes: The Jersey shore runs for approximately 120 miles down the coast, there are numerous areas where they have boardwalks, but most are not open in April. except perhaps on Weekends. The closest area of the NJ shore is about 35 miles or so from Newark airport on the Garden State Parkway. The more "popular" areas (Seaside Heights, Long Beach Island, etc.) are further down. There are numerous hotels, etc. everywhere, but most of the "chains" are not on the beach at most of the boardwalk areas. There is, of course, Atlantic City, but that is a HAUL from Newark airport. I'll email you a bunch more info when I've got some time. I'm crazy at the office with problems and studying for my licensing exam on the 29th! One question though, how close is it to a major airport? I know if I fly up there I am not going to be able to drive a long distance after the flight, ya know? Just something to keep in mind when trying to find a location convenient for everyone. I'd offer to help but with work I don't really have much extra energy, sorry. Guest guest
Pam, Sometimes a good cry is what we need. I have had many of them in the past and they do help because you get everything out. Please know that we are all here to listen and it is okay to vent to each of us. Lord knows that I have done it plenty of times and so have many others. Feel free to let us have it when you are feeling down!!! That is what we are all here for! LOL and Best Wishes and Prayers Always! DawnPamela Fredette wrote: Ginny, that sounds like a good plan and if it works out then I may be able to drive. we will wait and see. I will help in any way . I hope that you are doing better and I had to cry all the frustration out last night sorry for venting hope fully things will get better . hugs to alll PamGinny Barrientos wrote: Faith, We have decided that more people could get to New Jersey then PA. Guest guest
Jo, Thanks for the info...it will most probably be a weekend. Maybe we could chat on the phone and get some good ideas going. Good luck on your exam...Hugs..Ginnyjomal1@... wrote: Ginny I'd love to give you all the info you need..
