Guest guest
My husband, son and I were in a bad accident last night coming home from a church revival. We were traveling on our road (about 2 miles from the house). It is VERY bad for deer so I was only going about 45 and then we met another car and in his lights I could see an animal moving and I THOUGHT it was a deer, so I started slowing down fast, but then realized it was a 700 lb HOG in the road that had gotten out of its fence. The other car hit the hog and knocked into us and it landed on our van hood and shattered our windshield and depolyed our airbags.....I thought the hog was in our van and we were dead. The impact caught the van on fire ( no one knows why) and my van is totally destroyed both from the impact and the fire. I am VERY sore today, but the worse is that I was injured on my stomach where I had one of my insisions and it is swollen and VERY BLACK today. I was transported by ambulance to the hospital, but I don't trust those people. They did a CAT scan and said everything was ok, but I am black and blue and my stomach is swollen. I also have a big bump on my forehead.....I guess the airbag did that. I just don't know what got me on my stomach...seatbelt? Airbag? stearing wheel? I just don't know. I had just gone to the doctor for a check up earlier in the day and was doing GREAT. I guess I will give him a call as soon as his office opens up this morning to see if he needs to take a look. The CAT scan came back ok....so they said. I am sore, but other than that I giess I am fine. It is a thousand wonders that that didn't kill us. My van looks horrible....whats left of it (melted metal frame). Well, I have MANY things to get done today and try to get something to drive. Just wanted to let you all know I survived being hit by a flying pig (hog). H.
Guest guest
OMG . I assume your husband and son are ok? God bless you that you all weren't hurt more horribly. I know how dangerous that can be. Try not to over stress with taking care of everything now. Take care of yourself first and get some rest to heal well. All those things will still be waiting tomorrow, your health is all you have to keep you going. --- wrote: > My husband, son and I were in a bad accident last > night coming home > from a church revival. Guest guest
... OMG!!! You are blessed it could have been really really bad. Keep your spirits up in the aftermath of this and be thankful everyone ( except that flying pig) is OK. I will be thinking of you! ( and telling everyone I know about this crazy accident and the miracle that you all walked away!) ~
Guest guest
, hopefully all will be fine. Glad no-one was seriously injured. I would defiantly call my doc and make him see me for peace of mind, if I was you. Sorry to hear you had such a horrible ordeal. Better to lose a van the one of you guys. Guest guest
OMG! I am soo sorry.I hope you all are doing ok now.God certainly was watching over you all. I almost had a similar experience last Sunday. We were driving down a highway in the MTs & a 400 lb Black bear ran out in front of us & across the lanes of traffic. My husband slammed on the breaks & we just missed him.Everyone was ok but shook up. Take care - Kim F > > My husband, son and I were in a bad accident last night coming home > from a church revival. We were traveling on our road (about 2 miles > from the house). It is VERY bad for deer so I was only going about 45 > and then we met another car and in his lights I could see an animal > moving and I THOUGHT it was a deer, so I started slowing down fast, > but then realized it was a 700 lb HOG in the road that had gotten out > of its fence.
