Guest guest
I had posted new pics of my twins Shane & Sierra after my last post. Can you all take a look at their pics (after 4.5 months in Hanger helmet)and tell me how you think their heads look? They started wearing them at 9 months and are now 13.5 months. Shane has gone from CI of 96% to 90% Sierra has gone from CI of 88% to 85% Thanks for looking!! CARMEN Here is a COPY of my last post: Hi: Remember I posted a couple of weeks ago about my twins showing great progress after only two months in their Hanger helmets (they started wearing them at 9 months)and struggling with the decision as to whether or not to continue with the helmets? Well, they are now 13 1/2 months old and Ortho says that based on head growth charts, they would possibly only grow a couple more centimeters by 18 months, that's if we let them wear them that long, but he really wouldn't expect to see much difference after 15 months. So I guess he is basically telling us that we would be better off just leaving the helmets on until they're 15 months old. We have decided to follow-up with Hanger in another two months (twins will be 16 months) and we will most likely quit then. We have another follow- up visit next month with the neurologist and we will also see what he has to say.My husband is just about ready to take the helmets off and I don't think he can stand waiting until 16 months to remove them. So I guess I am just wondering if I can accept my twins head shapes the way they will be at 16 months even if there is no drastic change (their measurements have not really changed in past couple of visits). Although they look very good, (my son needed the most correction) am I always going to wonder if they could look better? We went into this knowing they would be wearing them for 4 months, but now it has changed to up to 7 months..WOW!! Please view my pics under plagio babies S " Shane after 8 weeks in Hanger helmet/Sierra after 8 weeks in Hanger helmets " and tell me what you think.
