Guest guest
Ok, review on these....not a good cookie recipe. WAY to crumbly. I couldn't even make then into balls.....SO I made a pie crust instead!!! It is baking now and I will report in soon. Now, I HAVE(LOL) to make a filling. I think the reason if failed is because it really NEEDS a bisquick type mix with flour. BUT I will do some experimenting. I have made these PRE-Low Carb and they are good...... Guest guest
Why wouldn't almond flour work? Maybe with a touch of cream added? Guest guest
> OK!! It made an EXCELLENT pie crust. Now I have to mix up a yummy filling. Did you make it with bake mix like the recipe called for or did you use almond flour? (I know you're a big fan of almond flour.) Maybe you could fill it with some sort of peanutbutter something? What flavor pudding do you suggest one might use for the crust to a pumpkin pie? Vanilla, maybe? With some pumpkin pie spice? -- in Indy (262.5)253.5/217.5/150 3/26/
Guest guest
No, I used a homemade bake mix (protein powder, oat flour and gluten) I am out of Almond Flour right now(expecting a shipment in a day or so) I decided to fill it with a double chocolate no-bake cheesecake filling!!! That oughta do my chocolate craving!!! I think a cherry or orange flavored chocolate filling would be nice, too. Or a pumpkin pie in a chocolate crust...YUMMMMMMMY!!! Guest guest
Try it and see Nan. The dough should be firm and hold together. Mine was more like a cracker crumb crust mixture, so that it why I just made it into a pie crust.
