Guest guest
, Welcome, you've found a wonderful group of people here, my daughter recently went on the keto diet as of May 1st, so I'm still getting lots of info from this group, there are some very well informed parents on here. we went through the non eating phase and still do with Stella (who is 5) I definitley think it is the high keytones, I know if stella has a bad day and doesn't eat due to lots of seizues, her keytones go way up, and then she flat out refuses to eat. Try getting fluids in him lots of h20. What ratio is he on? And do you have a glucometer at home to check his blood sugar levels, if so where is he? sometimes I've seen Stella pretty out of it and won't eat due to being hyperglycemic. Make smoothies so he can drink them and they will be a complete meal so even if he gets something in him it's better than nothing. Or the cheesecake dish, it's pretty sweet if you use the stevia, or other alternative sugar, the kids seem to enjoy that. Stella likes it when I freeze the whipped cream with protein powder and either coconut oil (she now gets MCT oil so I use that) with a little fruit mixed in or bakers chocolate. When she's feeling bad that's a good one to make too. Best of luck to you amanda-mom to stella, age 5, started keto diet May 10th, still waiting on her miracle. Weaned diazepam, and starting the long process of weaning lamictal (nasty process). Also on diamox, failed 11 meds and now thinking of VNS surgery. Also,Anisa who is normal and healthy, other than going through the preteen years. > Hi to everyone- > I just want to take a minute and introduce my self. Guest guest
You might try lowering the keto ratio or dropping meds. Ketosis is a natural appetite suppresant, so your problem is not uncommon.
