Guest guest
Hi all, Both of our kids are on SCD, my hubbie is GFCF and I am do whatever. My question is this: Is cassava root flour acceptable for SCD? We are vacationing in Vancouver BC and ran across a vendor on Granville Island that sells the most delicious breads that are gluten, casein, and yeast free all made from cassava flour. I am not on any diets and absolutely love the breads. Let me know because I'm sure my kids would love them too if acceptable on SCD. Thanks. The Chases Tommy 5, Chrissy 3, both ASD diagnosis, SCD since Feb05

Guest guest
" my son has been SCD for 3 months. We gave him some cassava crackers and he did fine with them. Is it okay to keep giving them to him sporadically? " How often is it okay to " test " the diet? " Deb, In my opinion it is too early to " test " the diet unles he has been symptom free for a year. That is Elaine's recommendation and I have no scientific reason to go against her recommendations. I think that you should stick to SCD 100% to allow his gut to actually completely heal.
