Guest guest
Hi: Is uva ursi scd legal? My son has tested positive to a bacteria NFL e coli and the bug is only sensitive to uva ursi or caprylic acid in the natural agents. Our NMD doctor has given us a formula that has two ingredients that are SCD illegal and I have noticed a change in behavior after he takes this formula. We are very hesitant in giving the presciptive agents because of their strength but we might have to look at this option. Thank you so much! Guest guest
Hi Paree, Here are some notes from Lyris, our old list " RE: Uva Ursi. Elaine, I hope this saves you some time. Uva ursi is an herb used for urinary and bladder problems. It has phenolic acids and resins in it. It is diuretic. Many list members have problems with phenols. Probably best to avoid it. Best, . " also http://lyris.dundee.net/read/messages?id=263714#263714 " I believe the publicity had to do with uva ursi being a natural dieuretic which could be good for some or bad for some. This probably is taxing on the kidneys, of course, if used in excess. " Caprylic acid seems to be legal. Sheila, SCD 52 mos, 21 yrs UC mom of , SCD 37 mos uva ursi Hi: Is uva ursi scd legal?
