Guest guest
Hi Deena: I am from Oakland County and I made up a book from everything I could get my hands on about this procedure because she had not heard of this particular one. She is looking it over she said to give her 2 to 3 days and she will let me know what she thinks of it, She gives me hope! I just wish my insurance did, I have General Motors BlueCross BlueShield Preferred Plus, they told me today that anything that came in for Obesity went directly to the garbage and they do not cover any surgery fro obesity. Good Luck on your search!
Guest guest
Hi, I Have written a little on here before. I live in Michigan. I called my insurance company today. They said that I did not need a pre approval for the surgery, I could just have it done. It is a PPOM insurance. They never did receive anything from Dr. R's office, don't know where it got lost at. They said because doctor is not in network that they would only pay 70%. That is cool, but because I am very low on funds, I am requesting that they consider paying 100% because it is so much cheaper and there is no " in network " doctor that performs this surgery. Now, the hard part comes. My doctor of 8 years still won't agree, so the search is on for a doctor in the Flint, MI area that will help me with this. I am healthy now, and I want to stay that way before something terrible happens because of my weight. I do have to go on Thursday and get a breast biopsy though. They spotted some calcification on the mammogram. I'm sure it will be ok. Anyway, that is what I pray......well, sorry so long winded. Can anyone direct me to a doctor around this area? Thank you, Deena in Michigan Re: Just another blessing - dreams of pursuit > > >> With Easter coming up I was starting to panic about what to >wear as I have not been caught in a dress since last Mother's day >when I took my pictures for Dr. R. before my surgery. Guest guest
Deena- will be thinking about you as you go for biopsy. Hope your insurance will cover at 100%. They should if they can't offer you a comparable situation. There is no other MGB! Guest guest
Deena, You are in my prayers. I also have a BCBS PPO from TX hope I get that good of news today. I'll keep praying for your Dr. to get on the wagon. I see my PCP tomorrow at 2:20 to have a complete physical. Prayer for me and him so he is receptive to this idea. Thanks, Deb in WY 29:
Guest guest
Claire, I need your prayers Christian Sis. I'm seeing my PCP tomorrow at 2:20 and am claiming his approval and a good health report. I still haven't heard from my insurance and will call them today. Discouragement is setting in. My husband returns from Africa on Friday and I really was trying to have everything set up when he got home. I know it is in God's time, but I'm a carnal being a slight on faith today. I am praying for your visit with your PCP. And also for good news from BC/BS. Hopefully they will be as good to you as they were to me. Even if all is not in perfect order by the time your Hubby gets home, enjoy the time with him and trust that God is still working on it even when you step back and let Him (or maybe especially so hee hee). I do know how hard the waiting can be. I sat and binged every night for almost three weeks waiting for work from BC/BS. And then after getting it and realizing they had approved my husband, not me I nearly flipped. It all worked out though. Sit down, take a deep breath and claim the name of Jesus as Healer, Counselor and Prince of Peace in your heart. He will give you peace and will work things out in His perfect timing. {{HUGS}} Claire Redhead in FL MGB 4/10/00 !!!!
