Guest guest
Hi, The Embassy Suites, or most places with suites, have microwaves, fridges and some supplies. If flying, hit a market on the way to the hotel or if driving, pack a cooler with what you need. Get some of those little plastic cups for dressings, etc., and boil the eggs before you go or microwave them at the hotel. We actually would take 's scale to the breakfast at Embassy Suites for the free breakfast and measure out the eggs, etc., right at our table. People look but who cares? They ususally serve nice crisp bacon which are generally the same food values and some fruit like catalope. If you calcuate a few meals ahead of time with the variations of what might be available, then you can have some flexibility. Once at Disneyland, I noticed that I had accidentally purchased a regular 7up for and had given her some... I almost had a heart attack! Scared the life out of me. Don't forget to explore the Special Access Pass. Our kiddos really do have decreased stamina for all that activity and it may make your entire experience a much more pleasant one. Warm Regards, Trudy Disney World on Keto or Atkins Thank you Trusy for the information. And I will be looking forward to your report. If anyone else has advice on making this trip with a child on a special diet I would really appreciate the help. I am thinking we are going to need a kitchen in our hotel but I wonder if we could make do with a fridge and perhaps a microwave. Guest guest
We have traveled many times successfully. I often buy individual sized portions of food that are preweighed to make it easier. I buy a lot of the vend packaged item at Costco or Sams Club. We ask for a refrigerator in our room and always have cream handy. Examples: 1 oz vend packs of peanuts, cashews, sunflower seeds - I write the amount of fat needed on the box and simply take cream or oil with us. It helps cut down the amount of things we need to weigh on each trip. 1oz individually wrapped slices of mild cheddar cheese, individually wrapped slices of American Cheese, small packages of cream cheese like you getat a bagel shop. I hate to admit this one since they are full of garbage but I carry Slim Jims with me in my purse as emergency food because they are shelf stable. I always have in the car a small container of oil with a dosing syringe since 1 TBS oil is =14 grams of fat. The syringe is a neat and tidy way to measure oil while the car is moving. Claire will even take the oil out of the syringe if there is no way to mix it in her food. I pre - measure 7g of KetoCrisp (Soy cereal) into baggies and write 25 g fat on the outside to remind me to add 5 TBS of cream instead of milk. This is tough to eat in the car!! Small cans of V8 juice with the appropriate oil mix well in a sippy cup for a vegetable roadie. It also heats well as tomato soup.
