Part of that would require actually knowing when my husband will come home. I'm not one of those wives who says " Be home at x:yy or we eat without you. " He earns the money that pays for the food, the stove, the table, and the roof over us all. So, I won't eat without him unless he's away on business trips. And sometimes, by the time he comes home it's total mayhem because every one is hungry. Those times it's easier to go out or fetch pick-up. I'm sure it's not a lifestyle that most would understand. It shows my priorities, and food is low on the list. Home cooked food is lower on the list than food in general. I know plenty of other wives who DO say " Dinner is at x:yy. Be here or make your own. " I can't do it. Esther in RI
