What size is she. Baby aspirn is recommended but I need to know what size dog. Did you check her paws real well for cracks, or maybe a sticker. Have you ever heard of fox tails? They are weeds that actually have heads that bury into the skin on paws or ears. They are plants. My cat got one in her eye once. Did you feel all the bones in her leg and paw? Did they feel aligned, did she cry? Did you try a cold pack then heat pack after checking all of that? Let me know. I wish I could see her for you. If I could feel her I might be able to tell if an X-ray is needed. Who knows, she may be fine tomorrow.

Hi Mojo,

I know how you feel. My dog Willow hurt her front paw about a year ago. She couldn't even stand on it. We took her to the vet.....he tried to examine her paw and didn't see anything, of course Willow didn't want him to touch her paw .......took

x-rays......nothing showed up. Couldn't figure out what was wrong. We left the vets office with some pain killers and still not knowing what was wrong. Vet said maybe it was a sprain......not sure. A few days later, I found a toenail on the floor and Willow was walking again without any problems. Let me tell you....that was the most expensive broken nail I have ever heard of! Jeeze.....now Willow is on a course of antibiotics for a recurring urinary tract infection. Guess what.......she may have kidney stones! What's next.......would you believe my other dog, Sydney has an upper respitory infection! He's on antibiotics too! We can't win!

How's your fur baby doing now? Hopefully he's back to normal. It hurts us just as much as it does them when they don't feel good. Like we need that......huh!

Hugs.....

Karol

Is Pepper a big baby? Willow is so spoiled and such a baby. In the house she is very mild mannered and fragile, at least she would like you to believe she's fragile. She will cry at the drop of a hat especially if you grab her in a way she thinks you shouldn't. For example......just try to hold her foot and she yelps like you're killing her. Imagine trying to trim her toe nails. Not fun. Outside she's a completely different dog. Her task is to hunt and she hunts everything from frogs to butterflies. Willow is a Brittany and has all the instincts of the breed.

I wish I could help you with the aspirin but I just don't know. Sorry. I hope Pepper will feel better soon. I wouldn't worry to much. She is probably babying herself until she feels better.

Re: dog/karol

Pepper is not doing any better, but I'm giving her plenty of rest and hope she gets better soon. I don't think it is life threatening, but I am very worried, especially since I have chemo tomorrow and will not have the strength to do anything. I guess I'll just have to if this does not improve. In the meantime I hope some of the other members can suggest what amount of aspirin I can give her, maybe that'll help her.

I love the name Willow.
