My name is Sharon McClung. I am 57 and I live in Berryville,Va. This is 12miles east of Winchester,Va. (in the beautiful shenandoah valley). I was diagnosed about 15yr ago by a dermatologist who did a biopsy of a rash. he sent me to a rheumy. for meds. My ANA was l:l280 and has never been below 1:340. I just quit my job last May. I was a nursing supervisor for a large family practice. I had been with them for over 10yr. I really miss my job and all the friends and patients I had there. I applied for SS disability in June. So far I've been turned down twice and now i am waiting to go before a judge. Do any of you have SS disability? I probably will not get it because i'm " still breathing " .
