Anyone who is willing to share I would appreciate it. I am currently on Salsalate, Ansaid, Imuran, Prednisone and Darvocet. Thanks again. Kim T. When I was first diagnosed I was on 60 mg for extended periods and haven't gone down below 10mg for the first two, three years. At the same time I was on imuran, but cannot remember dosage. Just remember it was 3 yellow tablets. I have then again been on prednisone 40 mg for 6 months and reducing, reducing, reducing until finally a little while ago I was able to get off it. prednisone - in overall made me gain weight. The first time it was about 60 pounds. I was able to control it better the second time around and I " only " gained 20 pounds which I am still desperately trying to loose so I can go back fitting into my 6 - 8 size. The high dosages gave me insomnia, irritability, uncontrollable shaking, bruising, and thrush, yeast infections, and other fun stuff. I also felt wired, as if though 100% adrenaline was rushing through my veins. Unable to stop doing things, I would wipe myself out to exhaustion which did not come easy while being so " high " . Reducing the dosage I would feel achy all over, and extremely tired, bitchy and I would get hunger pains. The more I ate, the hungrier I got. If I was able to suffer through the hunger pains, they would become less painful. imuran - I really don't remember that much. Metallic taste in my mouth, loss of appetite, tiny bubbles were coming out of my mouth from breathing. I lost the ability to whistle, something about the saliva in my mouth. I also had some stomach pains and my liver function was monitored closely. I have never taken any of the other medications, but have been and still are on others. I have also gained weight on the Prednisone, but am now down to a very low dose 5mg a day so maybe that will help. Actually I mostly hate the idea of taking so many pills all the time, but then again I am thankful they are there to help. Thanks again Kim T.
