Here is a beautiful prayer poem someone

sent me today. I am going to print it out and hang it on my wall or fridge!

Dear Lord:

I'm not on my knees today,

They're painful as can be,

You understand I hurt this way,

Cause You're watching over me.

I saw the sun You sent this morning,

As it peeked above the trees,

It reminded me of uv warnings,

And to apply some good sunscreen.

My hair is thinner, my face is red,

Inside I'm still a lovely person,

With that ole brain still in my head,

Although, my many symptoms worsen.

I'm dedicating my day to You,

As I have it only by your Grace,

I will not be sad, mad, or blue,

While the butterfly rests on my face.

Thank You Lord for my friends,

The ones who know me well,

Some are ill, some on the mend,

But only You, Lord can really tell.

To some this trial I carry in life,

May seem unjust or cruel,

But then what of all the strife,

You had when in this world.

I will not ask why,

I will not scream NO!,

But I will cry,

As You know.

Walk daily with me Lord,

As I limp along so slow,

At least in life I'm never bored,

With Lupus, there's lots to know,

Bless me Lord, Bless my family,

They care so deeply it's true,

It hurts them Lord, my pain they see,

But I tell them, I have YOU.

Please give me strength,

When it's needed the most,

I know my body is sometimes weak,

But You keep up my soul.

Thank you Lord. Amen
