Craniosacral therapy bad for seizures???

I just wanted to know if any of you have tried craniosacral therapy, and what

your experiences have been. I took my daughter to a chiropractor who

practiced cranio therapy and overall it was a good visit (Daphne was much

more relaxed during the session, and even afterward)

I had mentioned that we were getting this therapy to several people (her

neuro was fine with it), including her Early Intervention PT. The PT asked me

all sorts of questions, like was the practitioner experienced with babies

(actually she's very experienced... I made sure of that.) Today, she left me a

message saying she talked to another PT who does craniosacral work, and

that therapist told her that it was not recommended for children with seizures.

Our therapist then said she didn't think we should take Daphne to Cranio

therapy.

I was floored. I realize that whether or not this therapy actually works is

controversial, and I am not expecting miracles, but I had never heard about it

being bad for kids with seizures. I just wanted to know what others'

experiences were.

Thanks,

,

I had two separate craniosacral therapist work with my infant and both

thought it was good for calming techniques and mentioned nothing about

it be bad for kids with seizures. They were friends of mine, so I feel

they wouldn't have risked it, if there was possibility anything negative

that could come from it.

Besides if you see Daphne being more relaxed during and after the

sessions, then that is wonderful and could prove helpful. It is noted

by several parents on this list, that there kid's have had seizures in

stressful situations.
