Guest guest
if that is from birth they use erythromycin ointment in babies eyes to prevent any infection from being born vaginally and I think it also prevents the spread of a certain STD... not sure what one but they do it to all/majority of babies as precautionary even if you don't have the STD. -Robin PS eye ointment and ear drops (with NO ear perforation) would be the least Ototoxic way to be given. Sorry for typos I am on an old PC with a cruddy keyboard. > > > Date: 2006/06/16 Fri AM 11:26:01 EDT > To: LVAS , Listen-Up , > " Baltimore, Chuck & Jean " jbaltimore@...>, > " Dutton, Butch & Shari " butchandshari@...> > Subject: any clues here? > > Still dwelling in the past a little . . . wondering if any of you have any > inkling about any of this. Erythromycin usually given as an eye ointment to prevent infection from the birth canal. Kind of old fashioned but still done routinely. > Discharge/Final Diagnosis: > Under *me*, there's this: > > Discharge/Final Diagnosis: > Post Term Preg-Del > Cord Entangle Nec-Del > Cord Compress Nec-Del >Means that Sydney was born past her due date, and that the umbilical cord was entangled (could have been around her neck or other body part or a knot and the cord was compressed during birth. > > > > -- > Robin Tomlinson > thetomlinsons@... > > >
