I have been on atkins for about 3 years now. I am not really strict with it

but it has helped my energy levels a lot. I have lost weight on it but i

didn't go on it to lose weight, i went on it because it can be used to help

out with CFS. At the time i started i didn't have anything to lose by

changing my diet and it was worth the 1 month test period i gave it to see a

difference

Maybe talk to the Rhemy about what your expectations of him/her are as well

so you both know what can be done and what you expect to be done. Sometimes

dr's need a reminder that we are humans not just a file number.

I really know where you are coming from, Cat is the same way. actually

that's not completely true, If it has to do with the fire dept or ems it's

kept neat and tidy, the rest of the house could look like a hurricane hit it

and it doesn't matter to her. anyways my suggestion is if you are laying

on the couch that day, clean what you can reach on the couch. arrange it

into piles for when you are doing trips into the bathroom or kitchen to be

dropped off elsewhere in the house. the other thing i started doing was

charging Cat when she leaves something laying around. I charge her a quarter

for leaving her clothes out of the hamper or a hat left on the floor. it

really didn't improve until i bought $20 in material from her quarters

alone.

it's worth a shot

I was wondering what CFS is.......at the moment I can't remember. Duh......how did Atkins help CFS? You know, I though the diet may have helped my ulcerative colitis but I was never convinced, I thought it might have been a coincidence. I felt pretty good while I was on Atkins, I even had less joint pain. I may give the diet another try since it didn't cause me any major problems. My UC is in a full flare right now. I guess now would be the time to test the theory and see if it helps.
