I might be AS old as dirt, but not older than dirt. Sheesh. Well, on another note, are you ready for the latest on me? Ick. I am being referred to a cardiologist as soon as I get back from my trip. Of course, that "soon as" was from my PCP, but the cardio guy isn't available until May 12. Figures. Anyhow, because the diuretics seem to be a temporary fix on the fluid in my lungs, and because my heart is still enlarged, the PCP is worried. ly, so am I, because I don't get any good from the air I breathe. No trouble breathing, but just don't feel like I get any oxygen with it. Guess I'm not, actually, that's why my heart is enlarged. Isn't THAT special? Anyhow, when I know more, I'll let you know. Normi gave me an earful this morning about getting my butt in there faster, but with my insurance there is really nothing I can do about it. I know this guy will send me home with, "Just lose 100 lbs., and your problem will disappear." That same old saw they all quote when they see this giant economy sized woman. But, like our , I don't take that kind of guff from anyone, least of all some snooty doctor. Besides, when our bodies get like this, how do we lose weight, anyway? I retain fluid like mad, eat less than 1/4 what I used to eat, but can't exercise at all (Just getting from the bedroom to the bathroom is a major feat some days.), and am a lousy risk for bariatric surgery. HELLOOO. I guess I'm getting defensive early this time so I'll be prepared to blast this guy if he even starts on me. My PCP says to go ahead and take this week's vacation with the boys, and I agree with him... so, I am leaving tomorrow at Noon or thereabouts. I will try to check in from my friend's computer, but don't know how well I'll be able to do that, so don't count on it. I'll put myself on No Mail until I get back, just in case. I can drive for hours, I just can't walk or sprint anywhere at the moment. Like I said the other day, was "off like a herd of turtles", and I am "off like a slug of snails."
