Guest guest
Cheryl, That sounds like what my lousy rheumy was doing before I changed docs. Now, all of my docs share test results, medication trial results, etc., and talk to each other whenever I am in crisis. My Rheumy, now, is a woman, but the one I really loved was male, and retired a couple of years ago due to the rising costs of maintaining a private medical practice. I sure hope my current docs keep taking HealthNet, otherwise I'm toast. Right now, my PCP prescribes meds for diabetic needs, viruses, and vitamin and mineral supplements after consulting with my other docs. My Rheumy prescribes RA, SLE, Sjogren's, Lyme's, and Fibro medications, with consultation with the other docs. And, my OBGYN, Internist, and now adding a cardiologist to the mix, also share and exchange info on me. My file is one of the thickest in the drawers at every doc's office because they all have copies of EVERYTHING. And, I add a new computer print out of current symptomology, medications, new or ongoing allergies, etc. each visit. Eesh, it's a wonder we have any paper left in the state. LOL So, it took me years to get where I am with good doctors, who listen to the patient, share info, and are not prima donnas. I wish you all good luck in the search. Loving hugs, MM
