Hi Kathleen,

I'm Colton's mom..... I just read that you make cream pops? What is your

general recipe? I'd like to get more creative with his food options.... So far,

I've tried plain keto-koolaid popsicles.... but would like to hide some of the

cream/oil in his other food.

Any other ideas?

Thanks, mary

My grandson, Tanner, uses the splenda sweetener and it doesn't affect his

seizures or his ketones. His nutricionist when he started said to try it if my

daughter liked and see if it affected him. He sometimes drinks diet caffeine

free pepsi and doesn't have trouble with it either. It has aspertame in it.

Some people do have trouble with it, I hear, however.

Isaac's mum here again,

I'm interested in the response to the splenda sweetner. It sounds

as though 'most' people have a poor response to it -- anyone using

it successfully? I'm pretty sure I've read here in the past that

Aspertame is to be avoided which is the sweetner in Crystal Lite and

soft drinks. I haven't found any other drink alternatives here in

Canada. I've seen reference to Keto products on the site but we

don't have anything like that. What about Sugar Twin? Anyone know

what the sweetner in that is and is there any way to create a

palatable drink with that? Isaac still has (minor) daily seizures

and I never know if they are related to something we are doing so I

want to keep the diet as pure as possible. Prior to the drink thing

I used nothing other than the pure foods. However the dehydration

is obviously not acceptable and I can't 'make' him drink. Any

thoughts? Thanks in advance for your help.

We use both asparteme and splenda drinks with no problem. My son

prefers the asparteme pops. Sugar free jello also uses asparteme

sweetner. I liked all of 's suggestions of drinks. I'll have

to try some of those. One question: By Celestial Springs teas do

you mean Celestial Seasonings? Maybe there has been a name change.

When trying to elminate aspartame a few months ago, I used

unsweetened koolaid and club soda plus sweetner of choice to make a

drink. But, again, my son prefers the aspartame drinks. If I were

starting over, I probably would not have introduced him to the soda

pops with aspartame. We have no problem with it (Often he drinks 2

cans per day), but I still worry. Perhaps problems could arise down

the road.
