After speaking to Ken's doctors - Ken has Pancreatitis & TTP.

'Pancreatitis is a known complication of thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura

(TTP) found in approximately 2% of cases.' Gee, don't we feel special!

The docs have decided to start plasmapheresis (a special machine that cleans the

blood, this is in addition to dialysis.) They will be doing this for 2 hours

every day. The machine takes out his bad plasma and replaces it with donor

plasma.

Dr McKenna warned us that Ken will become much sicker (although we can't see how

that's possible.) He believes Ken will have to go back on the ventilator and

will become more confused (that isn't possible.)

Dr McKenna seemed to take this latest complication as hard as we did.

I have been praying, praying, praying. Ken has been in my thoughts and

prayers nonstop.
