Can your friend get on line? My name is , I am 58, married, live in the boston, ma. I have I was tested for Lupus because of the butterfly rash on my face but thank heavens I do not have Lupus. But my best friend of 31 years Sandy was diagnosed with Lupus on December 23, 2003. I read all I could get my hands on about this disease but still could not fathom what she was going through. So I found this group because I wanted to know what it was like a day in the life living with Lupus meant. I needed to know what she is going through and how I can help her. She has been taking Plaquinil since Dec and now it is not agreeing with her. She is feeling lousy and has been suffering nausea and diahrrea . Do you know if her rheumy will take her off the Plaqunil and put her on something else. She takes it only once a day. She has a good attitude now and says that she refuses to give in to it.
