Guest guest
intra-hepatic bile ducts are ducts within the liver, extra-hepatic bile ducts are ducts outside the liver, big bile ducts are larger diameter ducts, small bile ducts are smaller diameter ducts, but are all the small ducts within the liver and feed into big ducts which pass from inside the liver to outside?? If this is so, when they do a liver transplant all small ducts would go with the liver but some large ducts may remain, or do they take them both out and possible remove the gall bladder at the same time? Ian (51) PSC 89 gall bladder & extra-hepatic bile ducts removed at that time (replaced ducts with a section of bowel)
