Guest guest
Pat, I am so sorry I did not see your post before now. I do not always look at the posts. I have been on lately as I have been looking at Ken and Tim's progress. I am still having troble with memory issues and yes several of my drugs have side affects that say there are known problems. I take Gengraph (cyclosporine) and I also take prednisone. Both of these are documented as having memorey issues. I am a 43 female and it is also possible that the tx threw me into pre-menopause. But we are not certain of that at the moment. I was scheduled to have a neuro - pysch testing but I have not been given a date yet. And the Transplant doctor does not feel like it will show much. But truly there are some real issues for me post tx with memory. I have trouble driving places, even places where I have been many times before. I have forgotten blocks of things. As for instructions, I must write absolutely eveything down and not miss any step or I liteally will be screwed. If I have written step a and step c, I can not figure out what step b should be. If someone gives me verbal instructions I must write them down while they are speaking or I will lose it by the time I get back to my desk. I have made some poor judgements in my private life things like hiring of contactors. It is as if I can not make fine detail judgements. I do not concentrate well, and my head has a million things going thru it at once. I use to wonder if all that " ADD " and " ADHD " crap was real as it seems as though every kid has it these days. Well I actually feel like I have something like that sometimes. I am only on 7.5 mgs of prednisone so I hesitate to blame it on that since I have been on prednisone just about my entire life. But it is like my brain is on hyperspeed; but going nowhere...... feel free to post me privately. if you wish to discuss more. beth ann uc and psc 1978, ltx 1/
