Guest guest
Dear Maureen, Thanks so much for your encouraging reply. We are able to go only once per week, since insurance will not cover it. If it does work, we might go with a home unit also. What type did you get? Why do you think you are not having as much success with it? How old is your daughter and what types of seizures did it seem to help? Ann > > > > > > > My son, has been on the diet since 1/27/04. Guest guest
We are using a brainmaster system at home. I think it is not as successful for us because you cannot change the parameters in the software for reward. My daughter had IS at 5 months and then progressed to complex partial seizures, drops and now tonic seizures that are like spasms. The neurofeedback definitely helped my daughter control the head drops. And she can frequently stop the tonic spasm. But she still has them. My daughter's EEG is horribly abnormal and I find that it is better during the neurofeedback and afterwards. I think it helps her get into a pattern that is overall better - not normal but not off the charts. Hope this helps. I'm for all things that work.
