Guest guest
A nice hint, as it is on the daily menu for dear . It is a treat, and doesn't taste all bad, but probably better with the oil. Thanks for sharing, . Glad you are back with us. has been having crazy high ketones, AGAIN, and is now on a 2:1 ratio and back to normal. There was some discrepancy between my planner and the dietitian, and I guess I need to stick with the planner or her ketones will rise and I will have to lower the ratio again. See what you think: 900 calories a day - 2:1 ratio Dietitian: fat 81.82 g carb 8.91 g protein 32 g JH Planner: fat 82.27 g carb 17.32 g protein 23.82 g I went with the planner, then when I realized the carbs went up with the reduction from 2.5:1 to 2:1, but not the protein, I panicked. Called the dietitian and got her calculations from the ketocalculator program. So made up new meal plans and her ketones went sky high again with the high protein......... so am back to higher carbs on the s Hopkins Planner. Any insights. She is getting enough calories, as is plump and never lost the pounds she gained on the initiation of the diet at 1200 calories, but did grow up an eeensy bit. Thanks for any help you can give. . & Hill rich.sue.hill@...> wrote: The more oil you add in, the less rock hard it sets - I have just made an ice cream now for using 12 mls canola oil mixed with 24 gms cream. I have found that about half and half seems to make a good consistency. To flavor his I add some yoghurt/dairy food. I can use about 10 gms on his 3.3:1 ratio, enough to give a good flavor, and it still leaves a few carbs left over in the rest of the meal. Banana flavor dairy food mixed in was the request today, yesterday was chocolate, the day before was strawberry ----- Original Message ----- From: Just use cream and sweetener and a flavoring or vanilla flavoring. If you need to hide oil, add some and stir it in as the cream begins to freeze. If you don't add oil, you may want to add some water to stretch the amount he gets - that is what I do. It is rock hard when it comes out of the freezer. Others have shared to microwave it a bit and then chop it up for him to eat.
