Guest guest
Hello everyone, I have, kind of, begun the SCD diet with my son Zachary. He is 6 years old, was diagnosed with Autism at 2 years but is currently off the spectrum (which I am very skeptical about). He has severe apraxia and developmental/behavior issues. We go to a nutritionist and she suggests we begin the diet. My problem is that Zachary has no bowel issues, has regular bowel movements (always has), no dysbiosis, no yeast overgrowth, no gas or stomach issues...it is very tough, as you all know, to take many things from his already, strict diet. Does anyone have a child who has had no bowel issues, no dysbiosis, no yeast overgrowth...who has seen great results in other areas??? Any help is appreciated, as I am juggling around in my mind of whether this diet is for him or not.

Guest guest
Example of success with SCD on a person without obvious GI problems. HTH, Mimi http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/pecanbread/message/28829 I put our son on this diet last April due to behavioral issues. He never had any GI problems that I could see. He never had food issues. He just had meltdowns. Daily. Terrible. This really has helped. Its like the " fog " has lifted from him. We also found a few SCD legal foods that are just not okay for him yet (severe ADHD behavior follows). We also do this in hopes that it will clean out his kidneys so that he can naturally get rid of some of the lead and mercury that has been swimming around in his poor little body since goodness knows when. I have had such good success that we are still doing it. Helen, mom to (9, ASD, SCD 4/04) > Hello everyone, I have, kind of, begun the SCD diet with my son > Zachary.
