Guest guest
Hey group-- This was sent to me privatley by another group member, but I think it would benefit everyone. Very good advice for those of us using moisturizing oils... Here's the message: Regarding oils going bad or growing molds, that is not at all uncommon, especially as the weather warms up. I ran massage schools and we always refrigerated our oils in warm weather. Of course, you need to warm them up before you apply to the skin. For personal facial use you could just pour a bit out in a dish an hour before use. The other issue is you may be contaminating the oils yourself if you place your hand or finger on the bottle top. It is best to pour out, or use a dropper, being careful not to touch the dropper. Guest guest
I've been using emu oil for 2 yaers and have yet to refrigerate it but it doesn't seem to " grow " anything. I don't leave it on a shelf in the sun to cook but next to the kitchen sink (for burns) so it does get warm.
