Guest guest
The more oil you add in, the less rock hard it sets - I have just made an ice cream now for using 12 mls canola oil mixed with 24 gms cream. I have found that about half and half seems to make a good consistency. To flavor his I add some yoghurt/dairy food. I can use about 10 gms on his 3.3:1 ratio, enough to give a good flavor, and it still leaves a few carbs left over in the rest of the meal. Banana flavor dairy food mixed in was the request today, yesterday was chocolate, the day before was strawberry ----- Original Message ----- From: Just use cream and sweetener and a flavoring or vanilla flavoring. If you need to hide oil, add some and stir it in as the cream begins to freeze. If you don't add oil, you may want to add some water to stretch the amount he gets - that is what I do. It is rock hard when it comes out of the freezer. Others have shared to microwave it a bit and then chop it up for him to eat.
Guest guest
Canola oil and corn oil are interchangeable. We found canola was a wee bit milder. IIRC, canola is a " better " oil, but I could be mistaken. I am not up on my good and bad oils. Bill dreamerofluna wrote: > > > Will Corn Oil be ok to add? Guest guest
I'm not that up on oils either, we have used canola from the start of the diet mainly because of it's lack of tatse, easily disguised etc. Any oil I guess would work consistency wise in the ice cream, as to what will taste strong and what won't, I'm not sure not having really experimented too much in the past. I do know though that a few 'sensitive' children on here react adversely to corn/corn products, have to say I don't use them that often either, but have gradually introduced a few in over the past few months, like a couple of corn chips per meal on some days etc, and seems to be ok with that, ----- Original Message ----- From: Bill Barber Canola oil and corn oil are interchangeable. Guest guest
Hi, I'm colton's mom..... specifically, what flavorings or vanilla do you use? I ordered Bickford flavorings and found out after we received them (advertised as containing no alcohol, sugar, or salt) that they contained propylene glycol, which I believe converts to glucose.... would love to find safe flavorings.... any name brands or sources would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Guest guest
, HI Stella's mom here, we are in seattle wa, we have a health food store called pcc, which has pure essential organic extracts w/ no carbs, sugar etc in them, just the real deal. i use, almond, hazelnut, lemon, lime, orange, vanilla, coconut, maple occasionally. Hope that helps you out. We use the clotted cream to make stella's cream popsicles as theres way more fat per serving, really rich taste, if you use the orange extract it tastes like an orange creamsicle, even our older daughter likes them. amanda -- -mom to Stella, 5years old, started keto diet May 10th 2004 still waiting to be seizure free. Also on Lamictal, epam and Diamox. Anisa is almost 10 and a happy healthy girl.
