Two great things: I have just gotten my solid gold edition of " Not

Deaf Enough " in the mail today. I ordered it from the library months

ago, finally gave up and ordered it on Amazon. Paid a fortune, but

have already skimmed through it and it is going to be a fabulous read.

And then, checked my e-mail, to find out that the gal from our state

Disabilities office that serves the deaf/hoh kids, is going to be

starting a " Hands and Voices " chapter. I was so excited to hear

that. I think they offer a fabulous service to kids and families,

providing outreach that no one else is doing a good job of. She was

looking for volunteers to help, and I immedietly signed up. (I'm not

telling my husband yet though, as he thinks we should figure out how

to get the laundry done before we sign up for more committments. Oh,

bother...)

Gotta go read...

but don't worry, the dryer is running. (sigh..)

I read this book all in one night at my first AG Bell convention!! I was

exhausted but didn't want to miss a minute of all the great info I was getting

during the seminars and while I should have been sleeping!!
