Education is the best way to dispel fear. Your husband needs to know all the facts too because it is obvious he is afraid. Most of us lead productive long lives with the proper meds. When I educated myself and my husband things worked out better.

Please feel free to spill your guts here anytime. We all understand. Many of us, like myself and you have multiple illnesses. I started with Lupus as a teen. I got cancer 7 yrs ago and it gave me FM. I had a small stroke with a few seziours (sp). I now have arthritis, osteoporosis, interstitial cystitis, memory problems, depression, TMJ dysfunction, and degenerative disk disease. I am 57 years old and still walking around. I had to quit working 7 years ago & I am on disability. When I just had lupus I was still working for many long years. I raised two kids while having it and so can you.

Hello all,I am new to this group and newly diagnosed with my problems. Luckily my husband doesn't accuse me of faking it, because his momhas FM, so he knows how crappy it can make one feel. Plus heunderstands pain, he has a bad back and even had surgery to fix aherniated disc. Only prob, he doesn't want me to talk about itbecause it's too stressful to him, the lupus and endo anyway. BeforeI got this I was rekindling a friendship with a guy from high schooland he told me his mom died in Oct. of 2003, so I told my hubby abouther, who suffered from SLE and when I met her in 1995, she was bed-bound. So that freaks him out, now that im Dx'd with it, he says hedoesn't think our family can function if Im ever bed bound, becausehe couldn't work and take care of the house and kids. So, I

I REALLY HAD NO ONE TO TALK TO. IN FACT HE GOT SO MAD AT ME, WHILE WE WERE SHOPPING AT ALBERTSON. BECAUSE MY WHOLE BODY WAS HURTING. WALK RIGHT. PEOPLE WILL THINK I BEAT YOU OU SOMETHING. SO MY PAIN IS MY PAIN ONLY. IN FACT HE JUST SAID YOU GLUED TO THAT THING OR WHAT. WHAT I SAID TO HIM WAS ITS THE ONLY TIME I CAN GET TROUGH WITHOUT WAITING FOR COMPUTER IS SLOW. What i wanted to say.was yea you got that right. and i'm spilling me guts. he has no idea what i write. but sweetie your husband has had some fm experience. He'll be fine . ON APRIL 26 I WILL BE 48 AND I WILL BE LAYING IN BED ALL DAY. IT'S NOT MY CHOICE ON HOW TO SPEND MY BIRTHDAY. IT JUST HAPPENS TO FALL ON THE LAST MONDAY IN THE OF THE MONTH.
