Guest guest
We got the STARscan yesterday and it turns out, his condition is more severe than we thought. He is +2 SD for the cephallic measurements and our cranio specialist feels the helmet could really help him. After A LOT of thought, my husband and I have made the decision to go forward and get the helmet. He is 7 months old and we were told that there would be only a slight modification if we do nothing, but a greater change with the helmet. We hate the idea of putting him in the STARband, but realize it is probably for the best and will bother us more than him. What is your experience? > > > > > > My son was diagnosed with mild Bracycephaly. > > > > > > We have our scan tomorrow to determine measurements and a proper > > > treatment program. > > > > > > However, I REALLY do not want to put my son in a band or helmet > if > > it > > > is not truly necessary and I am not too sure what is considered > > > necessary or not. > > > > > > Does anyone know the success rate for babies of 7 months to grow > > out > > > of this condition as they start to stay off their heads with > > natural > > > development?
