Glad to have you with us . As everyone who has been successful with

Atkins will attest to, there is a lot of negative crap on the net. Most of

it is from people who A) haven't done it themselves and are just retelling

stories they've heard or B) did it themselves but didn't do it according to

the book. People in the (A) category are just spreading rumors (grrrr!) and

people in the (B) category probably didn't read the book, didn't read ALL of

the book or didn't even pick up the book... consequently they didn't know

what they were doing and when the way of eating (WOE) didn't work for them,

they blamed the way of eating (instead of blaming themselves for ignorantly

approaching this way of eating).

Knowledge is power and I applaud you for buying the book, READING the book,

shopping to get prepared and speaking with your physician.

Best of luck!

-Marlena

Hi

My name is ....I've been on Atkins since June 2000. I'm a

nurse at a neurology office and don't see any reason why you can't do

Atkins since you have MS. I would check with your doctor though

first of course.

If you have any questions about MS I'd be happy to help....I have

access to alot of info at work. Welcome to the list....we are glad

to have you.

Welcome to the group! I have a friend with MS who did the diet with

great success. She only had about 40 to lose, but it seemed to do

her just fine with no adverse side effects.

Good luck to you! I too still have a very hard time trusting that

eating all this fat, cholesterol, etc. is GOOD for you - LOL

Welcome Lori! Unfortunately I have nothing to contribute to your exercise dilemna, since I can't seem to find time for it myself & I don't think I'm half as busy as you are :) However, that hasn't stopped me from losing on this WOE. You'll do great.

God bless! Jeanie

Kolleen,

I'm so sorry for your devastating loss last year, and that your grief

and sadness is now compounded with an Asherman's diagnosis. I am

happy though, that you were able to find this group. There are many

women here who have gone through similar experiences. I think we all

understand your feelings of fear and outrage. I also developed AS

after a loss (but earlier than yours) and I still have trouble

getting past the unfairness of it all.

First of all, it's great that you've found Dr. Indman. I've read (

on this board) many excellent things about him and his work. You

should really read some of the success stories on the main website.

They are incredibly inspirational. I think only you can decide what

is best for you and your husband.

Best wishes to you on this hard journey.

Hi, I am new on this list but not to GF/DF eating. My daughters and I are all GF and mostly DF (cheese addiction is hard to break). I love baking and bake a lot. I am glad I found this group but I am having a terrible time keeping up with messages. It is busy here.
