Guest guest
Hi, my son, Dayton, just turned 3 in Dec. He has been getting speech therapy 2x per week since Oct of 2005. Of course, he has had the occassional misses while on vacation. Even though he has been making improvements, they have been small. The week of his 3rd b'day, the SLP tested him again. She said that he tested at 23 months instead of 36 months. His receptive language appears to be wonderful. He is a happy outgoing child that has come up with his own way of telling you what he wants. He will do very little signing though. I started him on Nordic Naturals Complete Omega 3-6-9 Dec 26, 2006. I feel like I do see some improvement with that. We have a follow up appt with the neurologist on Jan 22. I am going to mention apraxia to her. His SLP diagnosed oral apraxia last week after I brought it up to her in Dec. She said that she had already thought about it, but doesn't have a way to test him for verbal apraxia as he says very little. Now that I have introduced us, my quesiton is, have any of you used the Kaufman Method with your children? Are they worth the expense? Thanks.
