Guest guest
I called them and they asked that I send in all of Broc's records, a picture of Broc, a check for 150.00, a copy of our insurance card, and a short summary of Broc's medical history. The neuro at Hopkins reviewed it and he was accepted. Try calling Diane at . That's who I have spoken to. Based on our conversations it didn't appear to me that us coming from out of state was that uncommon. Guest guest
They still do take out-of-state patients as far as I know. They do not take international patients, nor will they take someone who has started the diet at another center and now needs help fine-tuning. Call Pillas and explain your situation. The only glitch we had was that our insurance company wouldn't cover it - our docs fought them hard, but in the end, we paid out of pocket to go to Hopkins. The insurance company refused because there are 2 keto centers in our state (Florida) - however, we chose to pay and go to Hopkins because neither our neuros nor Hopkins approved the 2 centers here. It was worth every penny - our daughter has been seizure-free for 2 1/2 years and is now officially weaned from the diet! I highly recommend Hopkins - they are very strict and very precise, and the dietician was trained by the original keto dietician from the Charlie Foundation's video - Millicent .
