Would like anyone's input.

Decompressed eight years ago for a 1.5 cm hernation and did well until about

a month ago. All symptoms returned about 5 weeks ago. I have had continued

headache, numbness and tingling, ringing in ears, dizziness, nauseous, muscle

weakness, shaking, and tachycardia. I have noticed that I have constant

drainge down the back of my throat on the left side along with my eye has

been half shut for a month now at times. I have pressure in my nose all the

way to the tip of it. The back of my head is extremely sore, severe

headaches, and neck stiffness. I also have itching at the back of my head.

At times I feel that my throat is swollen and I have noticed my neck and face

has been swollen on occasion. At times, I feel as though I cannot catch my

breath.

I am seeing a neurosurgeon in Chicago on Tuesday for his assessment. I tried

to get an appointment with Bolognese but cannot get in until December. I

cannot wait that long.

I had MRI of brain and total spine, MRA, and MRV of the brain. All are

negative. The brain shows 50% hernation of cerebellum which I found out I

have had for four years without symptoms as it showed up on MRI four years

ago.

Neurologist says he thinks I had a stroke and neurosurgeon says no stroke.

Neurosurgeon says pseudo tumor cerebri and Neurologist says no pseudotumor

cerebri. The neurosurgeon and neurologist both agree that even though the

cerebellum is 50% in the spine, I look great as far as being decompressed. I

did have the arch of c1 removed during my prior surgery.

I know Lee wrote to me and I was wondering if you could look at my symptoms

and tell me if they are similar to what you had when you had slumping.

My symptoms started back up after I had esophagoscopy done and I am almost

certain they tipped my head back, even though I told them not to. Somehow I

think this triggered it all.

I wonder if somehow I they could have ripped my graft from 8 years ago and I

have CSF fluid leak? Does that make sense to anyone? I would like

anyone's imput who may have some ideas.

Take Care,

Terri in Michigan
