Guest guest Posted March 23, 2004 Report Share Posted March 23, 2004 Hi Tana - I'm 45 and have had an SLE diagnosis for 2 1/2 yrs now. I have had 2 major flares (just coming out of one) and both times I lost probably half of my hair. It grew back the first time and it is starting to grow back now again. It falls out over a 6-8 wk period and then starts to grow back. I have little spikies that stick up on my part. So if I make a ponytail it is no bigger around than my little finger. I someimes would love to cut it off but my face has such chipmunk cheeks from the Prednisone that it makes me look worse. So hopefully it'll grow back. Take care.
