Guest guest
, Been a while since I've posted. I hadn't been on the site for some time only to come back a few weeks ago to find the success that people have been having with supplemeting their kids with vitamin E. May wife and went to see Dr. Agin in November and finally got a solid diagnose of Apraxia for my daugther a who is 4 years old. Based on the information I read on the site regarding vitamin E, we started supplementing a with the following twice a day: 2 ProEFA 1 ProEPA Vitamin E 400 IU Gamma E 300mg She's been on this for a week and half and I have to say that we are very pleased with the results that we are seeing. In only a few days she started to say mommy and daddy (it was always mama and dada), hi, and overall has made increased attempts at trying to speak as well as putting two words together, which she never did. As an FYI, we didn't see any results on the fish oil alone; even at 2 EFA and 1 EPA three times a day. At some point I anticipate that we'll increase the vit E and have seen the recommendations to not go above 1500 IU. Right now, in addition to the 800 IU of vit E that she is getting from the vit e caps themselves, she's getting an additional 280 IU of vit E from the EFA, EPA, and Gamma E on a daily basis. My question is should the 280 IU be counted towards the 1500 IU? I was very happy to read about your son ph and I'm so happy for you and your family that he is doing so well. Thank you so much for the information, support, and insight you have provided on the site; God speed. Best Regards, Joe
Guest guest
Glad to hear of yet another little one responding to vit E. There are over 50 families who have tried this and posted good responses...and sadly 2 for whom it doen't seem to work. Don't count the vit E in the omegas, but count the alpha that is in the gamma mix. Good luck. - > , > > Been a while since I've posted.
