Guest guest
Hi Bill - Yep, have been including some acidophillus yoghurt in 's carb allowance while he is on the antibiotics, so far so good I think Had to cut back on his cal/mag fairly abruptly yesterday though, so maybe he hasn't had enough - antibiotics have caused a bit of dirrahea - what a juggling act! Ketones still on the lowish side on waking, but no seizures that we can tell, and the ketones seem to be climbing ok during the day so far. Keeping a close eye on all that till he is back on form. Can't complain overall, no respiratory distress or chesty problems fullstop with this one, so that's a big relief. Roll on next week though.. ----- Original Message ----- From: Bill Barber Don't forget to give good bacteria; acidopholus or yoghurt for a couple of days after the antibiotics to regenerate the digestive system. I believe that this disruption could possibly affect the diet and ketones. Also the much lower activity with sickness could affect the production of ketones. With all the eye drops etc he is having to endure (hates them) I am not keen on fingerprick testing though, so I'll just assume that is why (his antibiotics are carb free) and plod on.... > >
