Ie, their Soy Sauce is just that, soy sauce. No wheat. If it had wheat it would say wheat in the paranthesis. Somewhere I saw an ad, probably on TV, that several of Zatarain's mixes are g-f. I felt fine after eating the Jambalaya mix, and will for-sure eat it again. The Commercial Product Listing from CSA/USA lists several other Zatarain's products that are g-f: Brown Rice Dirty Rice; Brown Rice Jambalaya; Dirty Rice; Jambalaya; Long Grain and Wild rice; and Yellow Rice. I bought it for my youngest (who's gf) as a consolation rice when I got the oldest (non gf) his Uncle Ben's Wild rice. Too bad it's not gf. We really loved it pre-gf. But the Jambalaya smells great!! And it's Brownrice which is a bonus for us!!Just snuck a taste. It's yummy! Be interesting to see what the kid says!kathi in houston! Yes, I have used Zatarain's Jambalaya mix. I ate it and did not get sick, but I know that this is not a good barometer, neither for myself nor for any one else. I have a hard time with the " made on shared equipment " line. If we (the 6 in our house) avoided all foods made on equipment that also processes any of our collective allergens, there'd be little left for us to eat. Cooking ALL foods from scratch would be about the only option left. I'm not ready for that committment yet. The Zatarain's box did say " shared equipment " on it. Sometimes I turn a blind eye to that line. Playing with fire, perhaps. Worse than perhaps: probably. Sigh............... My precedent was set by my hubby. He's allergic to peanuts. He eats food made on equipment that also processes peanuts. With (knock on wood) no ill effects to date. Double sigh........... Maybe I should stop playing with fire. I cant say enough nice things about the company. When I had the restaurant, I ordered many things direct from them. If I had a question on a product, they were more than happy to be of assistance.
